We are pleased to announce that the Çadır Höyük Archaeological Project has a new website! Its primary goal is to make information about our excavation available to a wide range of audiences. Within are detailed summaries of the mound and our operation, along with complete staff and bibliographical listings for the professional archaeologist. Meanwhile, for the armchair archaeologist, interactive media helps convey the importance of Çadır Höyük and makes the excavations come alive. We hope you enjoy the new look!
Ron Gorny, director of the Alişar Höyük Regional Project since 1993, announced his retirement from archaeology in the spring of 2010. It is through his leadership and guidance that the Çadır Höyük project has come so far. The new leadership team, including Greg McMahon and Sharon Steadman who will share director duties, Jennifer Ross who will assume the associate director position, and Marica Cassis and Ben Arbuckle, the new assistant directors, intend to carry on work at this important site. We all thank Ron for his leadership and support through the years. We will miss him!
